Visual Minutes are CreativeConnection’s version of graphic facilitation and scribing. Not only do Visual Minutes bring to life the voices and information, making speeches and presentations memorable; but they also promote listening, understanding and further conversations. Watching a mural come to life during an event reminds people how meaning and connections are created in a collective space.
We’d really love for you to experience Visual Minutes yourselves, so we’ve produced a short documentary film that we’re excited to share. This was filmed during the RISING 16 Global Peace Conference in Coventry from 15-16 November 2016.
What can Visual Minutes do?
Through Visual Minutes, we try to promote a sense of community and mutual listening and make people feel like their voices matter whether it’s during a corporate strategy meeting or a team away day, an academic conference or a community round table, a stand at a trade show or a charity event.
Visual Minutes can:
- collect the emotions of the group
- map out the visioning development
- aid analysis and evaluation
- create a timeline of the past, present and future
- promote and plan out change
- encourage audiences to participate online and share feedback on social media
- provide a set of illustrations and visuals to be used post-event for presentations, reports, social media, and online
Often times, Visual Minutes is just the first step. Listening and capturing information visually can be contagious and lead on to other things, extending the life of your meeting or event. The Visual Minute murals can be developed afterwards into a rich picture which then can be used as for posters, social media campaigns, even a jigsaw puzzle! Sometimes discussions during events prove to be so enlightening that they are then used for an animation like the animation we produced for The British Medical Association.
